May 2 & 3 Sat Sun	BrisCon	Mt Gravatt Showgrounds 1644 Logan Rd, Mt Gravatt	We set up camp for the weekend at a table-top gaming convention. We have a big area roped off and we can fill the day with whatever HEMA thing we want, fencing, learning from each other, a low-key King of the Hill tournament. Open to all HEMA clubs.
May 9 Saturday	Multicultural Taste of the World Festival	7^th Brigade Park Chermside Cnr Newman Rd & Delaware St	BSIS will be doing a short display. We will do some practice in footwork beforehand, so you get a feel for it. The more people we have the more we can show off a range of things, any level of experience is fine.
May 23 Saturday 8am – 6:30pm	Carranza Cup BSIS runs this event	Our Stafford training hall	This is an opportunity for relatively inexperienced fencers to gain tournament experience. Several of Queensland’s top HEMA fencers are invited to participate as “Boss Fighters”, and every competitor is guaranteed at least one Boss Fight, giving them the opportunity to try their skills against the very best. Boss Fighters are not eligible to win the tournament. If you are not entering, please help by volunteering if you have time available.

August 12 Wednesday	Combat only, no lessons	Our Stafford training hall	It’s the Ekka holiday, so we to give you an easier choice, we don’t hold scheduled classes but instead you can have a night of combat or workshopping.
Aug 22 Saturday 9am-4pm	Southern Realm Festival	Boonah Showground, 12 Melbourne St, Boonah	We set up camp for the day at a buhurt and jugger festival. We will offer lessons to the public, do a few displays, and fill the rest of the day with whatever HEMA thing we want, fencing, learning from each other, etc. Sword Fighter will be joining us. Camping available.
August 23 Sunday	Backyard Bonanza (BYB)	McPherson Park 146 Denham Street, Bracken Ridge	The Bracken Ridge lions throw a big event and we set up camp, fence each other, teach MANY people the basics (mainly kids) and put on a demo at the stage. Please come for whatever time you have spare.

Sept 12 & 13 Sat & Sun	History Alive	Abbeystowe 530 Pumicestone Rd, Elimbah	We set up camp for the weekend at a re-enactment event run by the Australian Living History Foundation. We have a big area roped off and we can fill the day with whatever HEMA thing we want, fencing, learning from each other, a low-key King of the Hill tournament. Open to all HEMA clubs.
Sept 16 Wed	Walk like a pirate	Training hall	Footwork fun, in recognition of 19^th Sept Talk Like a Pirate Day… there will cannonballs to evade as you sail you way to the treasure.
Sept 27 & 28??? Sat & Sun	Swordplay	pending	Tournaments in a range of weapons and classes. This is one of Australia’s longest-running tournaments.
